Low, 20 or less
A Fine & Kinney score of 20 or less. Very limited risk, acceptable.
Very limited risk, acceptable.
A score of 20 or less means the combination of product, use and protection at this workplace carries very little risk. No extra measures are needed.
What it asks of you
- Keep the measures that produced this score in place. A Low score that relies on Adequate controls or a Closed system is only Low as long as those controls work.
- Reassess when something changes: a new SDS revision with other H-statements, more frequent use, or a change in the protection people use.
Example
A product with H315 and H319 has an effect of 3 + 3 = 6. It is used Occasionally (1.5) with Adequate controls (0.51):
6 × 1.5 × 0.51 = 4.6, Low.
