Organise products and workplaces with labels

Create and manage labels to classify your products and workplaces for easier filtering and reporting.

Labels let you tag products and workplaces with your own categories, for example "Flammable Storage", "Production Line", or "Cleaning Agents". Once applied, labels appear as filters throughout the platform so you can quickly narrow down inventories, generate targeted reports, and demonstrate structured chemical management during audits.

Switch between product and workplace labels

Select the Product Labels or Workplace Labels tab at the top of the page. Each tab manages a separate set of labels. Product labels can only be applied to products, and workplace labels can only be applied to workplaces.

Add a label

  1. Select the tab for the label type you need (Product or Workplace).
  2. Select Add Label.
  3. Enter a Name and optionally a Description.
  4. Select Create Label.

Labels are displayed as a card grid. Each card shows the label's icon, name, description, and any tags. Use the Show Products button on a card to jump to your library filtered to that label.

Edit or delete a label

Each label card has a pencil icon to edit it directly, and a Quick Actions dropdown with shortcuts to related views such as Inventory, Risk Assessment, and more.

  • Edit (pencil icon): update the name or description, then select Save Changes.
  • Delete: confirm the deletion to remove the label permanently.

Deleting a label removes it from every product or workplace where you have applied it. You cannot undo this action.

Apply labels to products

Open any product from your library and select the Label button in the Labels column. Choose from your available product labels to tag the product. Labels appear as filter options in the library, so you can quickly find all products with a specific label.
