Generate a CLP label
Create CLP-compliant hazard labels for chemical containers in standard or Avery label sizes, and save them for reuse.
Generate a printed label that meets CLP/GHS labelling requirements. The label shows the product name, GHS pictograms, signal word, hazard statements, and supplier information. You can save multiple label variants per product and reuse them later.
Create a CLP label
Open any product from your library, then select Create Docs > CLP Label. The wizard guides you through three steps.
Step 1: Choose a label

Select New CLP Label to start from scratch. If you have previously saved labels for this product, they appear here as cards showing the label name, size format, and creation date. Click any saved label to load its settings and edit it.
Step 2: Configure the label

Label Format: select the label size.
| Size category | Options |
|---|---|
| Standard paper | A4, A5, A6 (default), A7 |
| Avery label sheets | 12 pre-set Avery formats (1 to 30 labels per sheet) |
Smaller labels automatically show less detail. A tiny label includes only the product name and key pictograms. A full-page label includes the complete hazard and supplier information.
Label Content: optionally add:
- Product ID / Batch Number: your internal lot or batch reference
- Expiry Date: chemical shelf life
- Print Date: defaults to today
- Additional Information: custom text such as storage instructions
Display options:
- Show hazard statements (H-codes): on by default
- Show precautionary statements (P-codes): off by default
- Include QR code: links to the full SDS online (on by default)
Step 3: Preview and save

Review the label preview. From this step you can:
- Download PDF: select Download PDF to save the label file to your computer.
- Save CLP Label: select Save CLP Label to store this label with your product. Enter a label name in the pop-up window. If you are editing an existing label, you can choose to replace it.
Saved labels appear in Step 1 the next time you open the CLP Label wizard for this product. Each saved label stores the full configuration, so you can regenerate or update it at any time.
