BE Codex compliance report, proactive compliance inbox, CLP label saving, and signal-word page borders on safety cards.

New Features

BE Codex compliance report

Generate a full compliance assessment against the Belgian Codex on Well-being at Work (Welzijn op het Werk). The report covers six areas: inventory, procurement, storage, use and handling, disposal, and information and training.

Each report includes EMKG exposure route classifications with PPE recommendations per substance. It also covers EU regulatory horizon scanning (REACH Candidate List, POPs, CMR, Endocrine Disruptors) and VLAREM storage classification for Flemish permit requirements. A compliance checklist with legal article references and severity ratings helps you prioritise corrective actions.

Run the report for your entire organisation or for a specific location. The output includes a table of contents and is ready to print or share with an inspector.

Proactive compliance inbox

NextSDS now goes beyond static reports. The new inbox keeps you informed about changes that affect your chemical inventory, so you can act before a gap becomes a finding.

The inbox collects notifications from across the platform: inbound SDS emails, supplier update requests, and processing alerts. Each message shows a category label, the reporter's details, and a direct link to the related product or location. Select any message to see the full context, or copy its link to share with a colleague.

Your field teams can report issues directly from the safety portal. When someone flags a missing product or incorrect location, the report lands in your inbox with the category, location, and product pre-filled. You see exactly what needs attention and where.

If an inbound email cannot be matched to a product, NextSDS creates a high-priority notification automatically. No more silent failures.

Save CLP labels to products

Generate a CLP label and save it as a PDF attachment on the product. The label is stored alongside the SDS and safety card, so all compliance documents stay in one place.

Signal-word page borders on safety cards

Safety cards now display a colour-coded border based on the signal word: red for Danger, orange for Warning. The border runs along the full page, making hazard severity visible at a glance when cards are printed or posted at a workstation.

Reprocess an SDS document

Re-run the automatic extraction on any SDS directly from the product sidebar. Use this when a document was updated or when the original extraction missed data. The new result replaces the previous extraction.

Improvements

Exposure Assessment

  • Automatic Belgian exposure limit enrichment. The exposure wizard now looks up ILV-IFA occupational exposure limits for each substance when you start an assessment. This gives you Belgian reference values alongside the DNEL from the SDS.

Reports

  • GHS04 pictogram for compressed gas. The compressed gas pictogram (GHS04) now appears in all VLAREM and BE Codex reports, completing the GHS pictogram set.
  • Corrected VLAREM classification codes. Rubriek codes and category mappings have been corrected to match current VLAREM II requirements.

Library

  • Automatic version archiving. When you switch to a newer SDS revision, NextSDS archives the previous version automatically.
  • Corrected "Most Recent" badge. The revision management view now correctly marks the active version.
  • Shareable filter URLs. Your filter and search settings are saved in the page URL. Share the link with a colleague to give them the same view.
  • Searchable filter dropdowns. Type to search in any filter dropdown, making it faster to find the right value in long lists.
  • Language column and column toggle. A new language column shows the SDS document language. Use the column toggle to show or hide any column.

Safety Card

  • Simplified default profile. The previous Light, Basic, and Full presets have been replaced by a single NextSDS default profile. Customise it to match your needs.
  • PPE from structured SDS data. PPE selections now pull from Section 8 structured data instead of hazard phrases, improving accuracy.
  • Fixed page splitting. Two-column layouts no longer split a row across pages.
  • Better filenames. Downloaded cards now use the card label instead of a technical identifier.
  • Safety card configuration. The settings form has been redesigned for clarity, with new options for signal-word border appearance.

Safety Portal

  • Report button on locations. Field teams can now report issues directly from the locations tab.
  • QR code download fix. QR codes download correctly again.
  • Improved product counts. The products tab shows accurate counts with a location filter badge.
  • Team logo on reports. Your organisation's logo appears on generated reports.

Inventory

  • Density in quantity adjustment. The quantity adjustment form now shows density data to help you convert between volume and mass.
  • Corrected analysis percentages. Dashboard analysis percentages now use the correct base count.

SDS Data Extraction

  • Improved physical properties detection. Section 9 extraction handles more document formats for physical state and related properties.
